About Dare Badejo¶

Applied Scientist specializing in AI-driven decision systems and sustainability optimization at Dow.¶
I am an applied scientist working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, optimization, and sustainability. My career is defined by a single mission: bridging rigorous research, industry practice, and data-driven decision-making to solve problems that matter.
Background¶
I am a Scientist at Dow, where I develop sustainability tools and frameworks, including life cycle assessment (LCA), techno-economic analysis (TEA), and data-driven decision models, helping industry leaders drive measurable environmental and operational impact.
Prior to Dow, I completed my PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware, focusing on enterprise-wide optimization under uncertainty, integrated systems modeling, agent-based frameworks, interpretable machine learning, and sustainability-driven decision systems. My research bridges advanced analytical methods with practical applications, turning complex models into actionable insights for industrial and supply chain systems.
Earlier in my career, I gained hands-on experience in both academia and industry, at the University of Lagos and Eunisell Nigeria Limited, applying quantitative and data-driven methods to real-world process and operational challenges. These experiences cemented my ability to translate research into impactful, real-world solutions.

The Bridge Between Theory and Impact¶
My work is not purely academic. Every model I build, every analysis I conduct, and every framework I design is guided by a single question: How does this create real-world value? From optimizing pharmaceutical supply chains to quantifying sustainability trade-offs in industrial systems, I ensure that rigorous science translates into actionable strategy.
